MOMS, A LITTLE REMINDER: THERE IS SUPPORT OUT THERE FOR YOU, TOO.

November can get busy quickly. Between school schedules, work, groceries, childcare, holiday planning, and taking care of everyone else, it's easy to put your own needs at the bottom of the list.

So along with our November Michigan Family Resource Calendar, we wanted to share a few resources specifically for moms and families.

HERE ARE A FEW PLACES TO START:

Food & Grocery Assistance

  • Michigan WIC provides nutrition support, food benefits, breastfeeding support, and referrals for eligible pregnant and postpartum moms, infants, and children under five.

  • Michigan 211 can help connect families with local food pantries, holiday food distributions, and other assistance.

Childcare & Financial Assistance

  • MI Bridges is a place to explore and apply for food, healthcare, childcare, and other assistance programs.

  • Michigan Child Care Assistance may help eligible families with the cost of childcare.

Pregnancy, Postpartum & Breastfeeding Support

  • Michigan's Maternal Infant Health Program connects eligible moms with support during pregnancy and after birth.

  • The National Maternal Mental Health Hotline offers free, confidential support 24/7. Call or text 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262).

Jobs, Education & Career Support

  • Michigan Works! locations offer career resources, resume assistance, job-search help, and employment support.

  • Check the November calendar for upcoming job fairs and career events.

A FEW HELPFUL LINKS TO SAVE:

And moms, please remember: asking for help doesn't mean you're falling behind. You deserve support, too. Whether you need help finding groceries, childcare, employment, baby supplies, or simply someone to point you in the right direction, there are resources available.

We'd love to hear from you!

What's one resource or type of support you wish more moms knew about?

Share it in the comments. You never know who might need that information this month.

Save this post, share the calendar, and send it to a mom who could use a little extra support.
