Thursday: The Official KindNest “Mom, Where Did My Brain Go?” Day
Let’s be honest.
Some days you wake up feeling like you've got it together.
You make breakfast.
You get everyone dressed.
You remember the backpack.
You find the missing shoe.
You answer approximately 47 questions before 9:00 a.m.
And then you walk into the kitchen and completely forget why you went in there.
Welcome to Thursday.
Maybe you:
Put something in the microwave and forgot about it.
Walked into a room and immediately forgot why.
Called your child by the dog's name.
Made coffee and then reheated it three times.
Found a toy in the refrigerator.
Put your phone down and then spent 10 minutes looking for it.
Told your kids, “We're leaving in five minutes,” approximately 45 minutes ago.
Finally sat down… only to hear, “MOM!”
Again.
And again.
And again.
If any of this sounds familiar, we just want to say:
You're doing great.
Maybe not Pinterest-perfect great.
Maybe not I've-got-my-life-together great.
But you're showing up.
And sometimes, that's enough.
So Let's Have Some Fun Today
Forget the serious questions for a minute.
We want to know:
What's your funniest “Mom Brain” moment?
What is something you've done recently that made you stop and think:
“Yep. I need a nap.”
Maybe you accidentally put something in the wrong place.
Maybe you forgot something that you absolutely knew you weren't supposed to forget.
Maybe your kids caught you doing something completely ridiculous.
Or maybe you're still trying to figure out where you put your coffee.
Tell us.
No judgment here.
In fact, we're pretty sure someone else has done something even more ridiculous.
The Thursday Challenge
Today, we're giving you permission to laugh at the chaos a little.
You don't have to have the perfect house.
You don't have to have the perfect schedule.
You don't have to answer every message immediately.
You don't have to accomplish everything on your list.
And you definitely don't have to pretend you have it all together.
Take a breath.
Drink the coffee.
Laugh at the ridiculous moment.
Put your phone down for five minutes.
Dance in the kitchen.
Eat the snack you were saving for the kids.
Okay… maybe save one snack for the kids.
You've earned a little fun, too.
And Here's Your Thursday Reminder
Life with kids can be loud.
It can be messy.
It can be exhausting.
It can be hilarious.
Sometimes all within the same five minutes.
And somewhere in all of that chaos, there are little moments worth laughing about.
So today, instead of asking:
“What do I still need to get done?”
Try asking:
“What can I laugh about today?”
Because sometimes a little laughter is exactly the reset we need.
Your Turn!
Finish this sentence in the comments:
“You know you're a mom/caregiver when you ________.”
We want the funny ones.
The embarrassing ones.
The “I cannot believe I actually did that” ones.
Let's make Thursday the day we all admit that none of us has it completely together.
And honestly?
That's okay.
