KindNest Wants to Hear From You: What Should We Talk About Next?
We have a question for you.
What do you want to see on the KindNest blog?
Not what you think we should write about.
Not what sounds like the “right” answer.
We want to know what you actually want to read.
Because the KindNest blog isn't supposed to be a place where we simply publish information and hope someone finds it useful.
We want it to be a conversation.
And that means we need you to be part of it.
Maybe You're Looking for Something We Haven't Written About Yet
Maybe you've been trying to find information about something and keep coming up empty.
Maybe you've wondered:
“Where can Michigan families get help with this?”
Or:
“Why doesn't anyone explain this in a way that's actually easy to understand?”
Or maybe you've found a great resource that you think every mom, parent, grandparent, or caregiver should know about.
Tell us.
There may be other families looking for the exact same thing.
What Would You Like to See?
We're opening up the floor.
Would you like to see more blog posts about:
Michigan family resources
Food assistance
Housing resources
Child care
Transportation
Healthcare
Mental health
Parenting
Mom life
Pregnancy and new motherhood
Baby and children's resources
School and education
Local events
Free family activities
Community organizations
Financial resources
Utility assistance
Family activities
Things happening in Flint and Genesee County
Resources throughout Michigan
Something completely different
Maybe there's a topic we haven't even thought of yet.
That's why we're asking.
Here's Your Chance to Help Us Build the Blog
At the bottom of every KindNest blog post, there is a comment section.
And we really want you to use it.
You don't have to write a long response.
You don't have to have the perfect words.
You can simply say:
“I would love to see a blog about ______.”
Or:
“Do you have information about ______?”
Or:
“This really helped me today.”
Or:
“You should talk about ______.”
That's enough.
We want to hear from you.
And If You Know Something We Don't…
This is important, too.
Maybe you know about a local organization.
Maybe your church hosts a food distribution.
Maybe there's a free family event coming up.
Maybe you know about a program that helps parents with something specific.
Maybe there's a resource in your community that isn't getting enough attention.
Tell us about it.
You could help us discover something that we can share with other families.
And if you see information on one of our blogs that you know has changed, been updated, or could use additional information, let us know that too.
We're not going to pretend we know everything.
We're learning right alongside our community.
What If Your Comment Becomes Our Next Blog?
This is where we want to have a little fun with this.
Imagine you leave a comment saying:
“I'd really like to know where families can find affordable child care in Michigan.”
And then a week or two later you see:
YOU ASKED. KINDNEST ANSWERED.
Finding Child Care Resources in Michigan
That's what we'd love to do.
Your questions can become future blog topics.
Your suggestions can help us find new resources.
Your experiences can help us understand what families actually need.
You can help shape what comes next.
We're Not Just Looking for Problems
We also want to know what's going well.
Tell us about the things that have helped your family.
Tell us about organizations that have treated your family well.
Tell us about a resource you wish more people knew about.
Tell us about a community event your kids loved.
Tell us about something that made your week a little easier.
Because sometimes supporting families isn't about finding another problem to solve.
Sometimes it's about finding something good and helping more people discover it.
And Yes… We Want the Fun Stuff, Too
Not every KindNest blog needs to be serious.
Sometimes moms need information.
Sometimes caregivers need resources.
And sometimes...
we just need to laugh.
So if you have an idea for a silly, funny, relatable mom-life post, send it our way.
Want a blog about the things moms secretly do when the kids aren't looking?
We'll consider it.
Want a post about the never-ending laundry?
Absolutely.
Want to settle the argument about whether reheated coffee still counts as fresh coffee?
We're willing to investigate.
The KindNest blog can be informative and fun.
Because families are more than their struggles.
They're funny.
They're complicated.
They're busy.
They're tired.
They're resilient.
They're celebrating little wins.
They're figuring things out.
And sometimes they're just trying to make it through Thursday.
We want our blog to reflect real life.
So, Let's Start Here
We're going to make this really easy.
Complete this sentence:
“I would love for KindNest to write about __________.”
That's it.
Drop your answer in the comments.
And if you have more than one idea?
Give us all of them.
Already Read One of Our Blogs?
We'd love to know which ones actually helped you.
Was there a post that gave you information you needed?
Did you discover a resource you didn't know about?
Did something make you laugh?
Did a post make you feel understood?
Tell us.
Even a simple:
“This really helped me today.”
means more than you might realize.
When we see people reading, commenting, sharing, and telling us what they need, it helps us know that what we're creating is reaching real people.
And that's the whole point.
Don't Forget to Share KindNest
And here's another way you can help.
You don't have to share a blog post.
Share the KindNest website.
The website has resources, information about requesting assistance, ways to get involved, and information for Michigan families.
You never know who might see your post and think:
“Wait… I didn't know this existed.”
One share could help someone find something they desperately needed.
Need Help? Start With a Conversation.

Sometimes the hardest part is knowing where to start.
Start with a conversation.
We're Listening.
The KindNest blog isn't finished.
And honestly, we don't want it to be.
We want it to keep changing as our community changes.
We want to write about the things families actually want to know about.
We want to find resources you haven't been able to find.
We want to celebrate the good things happening in our communities.
We want to laugh with you.
We want to learn from you.
And we want to create something that feels like it belongs to the people we're here to support.
So don't just read and leave.
Talk to us.
Comment.
Ask a question.
Suggest a topic.
Share a resource.
Tell us what helped.
Tell us what we're missing.
Tell us what you want to see next.
Because this isn't just a blog for families.
It's a blog we're building with families.
So… what should we talk about next?
